Rehash
I was reading the blog of a friend of mine, an instructor I had back in school, and he made a comment about (re)posting news on some many blogs. While he has a point that a lot of the news that makes it into blogs is rehashed I think this is usually a good thing.
Why? Well not everyone reads the same blogs or goes to the same sites. So really (re)posting is just a way of helping to spread the news, inform more people. Isn't that what the Internet was created for? The sharing/exchange of information.
True for someone like myself, who subscribes to around 100 blogs, can get kinda annoyed when reading the same thing over and over. But honestly each person has a different view a different take.

That is why Blogs caught on, they allow people to share information and start up discussions. So 500 people may be interested in the New Flash player, or the new iPod Photo, but hopefully each blogger will reach a different person in the audience, or provide information that another blogger may have left out. They serve as ways to voice your own thoughts about a product, a topic, or just stuff that is going on in your day to day life.
I blog to provide others with an insight into my personal life, to inform others about things I am interested in (and they may be to, but might not have know about it otherwise), to start up discussions about things that I am going through or thinking about, and sometimes just to get shit off my chest. True a lot of the times I will post about something that I got off another blog or site but I try and provide a link back to that person and credit them for it.
Just remember knowledge is power, and very person can provide a different view on the same subject. So if you have already read about it and don't want to hear about it again click on to the next site, there are plenty of them out there to choose from.
