We came, we voted, and we all must accept the outcome. For some of us it was what we had hoped for, others weren't so lucky.


60% of eligible voters voted in this election, 120 million, making it the highest turn out since 1968. This was also the first election since 1988 that the winner received a majority of the popular vote. So although some of you may be upset with the results they were what the majority of the people wanted. And the fact that this many people actually came out to let their voice be heard counts for something, right?

I am just glad that it is all over. These last few months I have spent making sure I am fully educated on all the issues, debating friends and family members, and hearing so much talk on this issue or another I am just about politically beat. It is nice to finally know the results and let things settle back to normal.

The last note on this before I toss in the towel is a song a friend of mine, John McHale, put together. It is ironic that the song was composed about a month ago but it falls right in line with the events of today. The quote above will make more since once you listen to the song.
