Wow... It has been quite a while since my last post, over a month. I am still alive and kicking, just been very busy since my return from Austin.

The email newsletter application, that we have been developing at work for several months is finally live. And we are now working on a large redesign of one of our existing applications. Aside from a number of usability enhancements, the front end is going to be updated to XHTML 1.1, and the back-end recoded in ColdFusion 7 (it is currently ASP.Net). With this and the normal workload I should be pretty busy, during the day, until the end of June.

As for freelance things are still going strong. I had to let one client go, only to pick up two new ones in the absence. One is the development of a cool Flash desktop application. While the others are your standard websites / online applications. There are several other projects on the horizon that I am excited about and waiting to begin.

The Mobile Conference Guide got great reviews at SXSW, and I have received several emails from CTIA attendees saying it was a usefully application there as well. I am currently working on the next version that will included several new features, a revamped UI, and a new back-end. There will also be a Pocket PC version with the next release.

I was also asked to teach Advanced Flash Development at The Creative Circus, but due to scheduling issues I was unable to offer it this quarter (should be teaching it next quarter thought for those that are interested). Instead this quarter I will be teaching a class on Interactive Design/Development, focused around Web Standards and front end design techniques.

So although things have been a little busy, and show no signs of slowing, I think I finally have most of it under control again :). I have had a lot to post about recently just haven't made the time, but I am going to do my best to set aside a little time each week to get/keep the site up-to-date again!
