I just got back from the Apple Store at Lenox Square, where I picked up a new iPod Nano. This brings my iPod collection to three, a 3rd generation iPod, an iPod Shuffle, and now an iPod Nano.

Out of all of them the Nano defiantly is my favorite by far. First of all it has the best form factor. It is the almost the exact size of a standard BIC lighter (height and thickness) and is a little smaller then a business card (width). So it should easily fit into any pocket without notice. The color screen is very nice, haven't had a chance to view it in direct sunlight but it lights up well and is extremely easy to view at night. The scroll wheel is about half the size of the scroll wheel on the 3G iPod, but is big enough to make navigation hassle free (no wanting to click one thing and accidently clicking another). And the fact that it is flash based instead of having a normal hard drive is my favorite part. We shouldn't hear all the stories about the hard drive failing on these after a years worth of use (or at least lets hope not). So far the only negitive I have found is the fact that it attracts more finger prints than another other iPod I have had, and for those with an iPod you know this is a lot!

From they way they were selling at the Apple store, every person in line had one (if not two) I am sure this is going to be another big hit for Apple. They have made a product that has a great form factor, sticks with the original iPod brand, and holds enough songs to keep me satisfied on any plane trip or commute I should have to make.

I will try and post a more detailed review after I have used it a little longer, for now you can enjoy a few photos I posted to my Flicker account.
