The worst part about going on vacation is coming home. Not that I don't like being back home in Atlanta, but it is always difficult to jump right back into the daily grind after a great trip. This particular vacation was extremely difficult for a couple of reasons. One, I went to San Diego, which says it all without really having to elaborate... although I will.

I had never been to San Diego, and heard so many great things about it I decided to take an extended weekend trip to check it out. I have to say it is defiantly one of the coolest cities I have visited. The city itself has a great vibe about it, and the surrounding areas and beaches are beautiful to say the least. And the weather was / is amazing... I heard it was great but after 4 straight days of sunny and mid to upper 70s I now believe all the hype. While there I got to check out the world famous San Diego Zoo, explored and hung out in the city (Gasslamp District, Little Italy, The Harbor, and Sea Port Village) and took a few trips to the norther San Diego area to visit La Jolla, Pacific Beach, and Del Mar. If you get a chance defiantly visit San Diego for yourself, even if it is only for a few days it is well worth it.

The second reason it was difficult coming back was not only did I have the time change of coming from the West coast back East, I was also traveling during Daylight Savings. Normally jet lag doesn't really bother me, I usually try and sleep on the plane to make up for it, but leaving at 12:00 (PST) and arriving home at 7:00 (EST) kinda doesn't give way to this. Then pile on loosing an hour, and you can see why I was a little out of it last night / this morning. All in all I guess this is kinda expected, and a small price to pay for a great weekend.

Anyway I am back in Atlanta again and back to life as normal. For those interested I posted several photos to my flickr account.
