iTunes Movie Rental, Why Apple Missed the Mark

As many of you know, I am a huge Apple fan. I feel strongly that they are the best computer maker out there, that there OS is far superior to others, and that they develop great consumer products. Although I do feel at times Apple's business model (aka greed) causes them to "miss the mark", and that today's announcement of the iTunes Movie Rental service is one of those moments.

2007 Reflections

I thought it would be a good idea with this year coming to and end to take some time and reflect back on '07. This has been a BIG year for me, and has been SUPER busy, so having a place I can look back upon later on will serve me well.

Must Have Albums of 2007

With 2007 drawing to a close, I wanted to put together a compliation of must have albums of 2007. I hope that you will contribute to this list, or create lists of your own as I think it would be a great way to share some of your favorite albums of the year (only requirement is the the album had to be released in '07).

San Diego

The worst part about going on vacation is coming home. Not that I don't like being back home in Atlanta, but it is always difficult to jump right back into the daily grind after a great trip. This particular vacation was extremely difficult for a couple of reasons. One, I went to San Diego, which says it all without really having to elaborate... although I will.

New Camera

I have been wanting to get back into photography for a few months now, so have been looking for a new Digital SLR camera. After going back and forth on a couple of different models I decided to go with a Canon EOS Rebel XTi. I had heard a few negative things about the standard lens it ships with, so I opted to only purchase the body only and then pick up some better glass elsewhere. I ended up getting a 28-105mm and a 70-300mm lens for now. So far I am very happy with the camera, the pictures are excellent, and it has all the setting I was looking for. I haven't done much with photography for several years, so am hoping once I get back to shooting again things will come back to me. I am heading out to San Diego next week, and am very excited about bringing the new camera with me. For now you can check out a few sample photos on my Flickr account.

1 Year, 1 Month, 1 Day

That is how long it has been since the last post. I am pretty sure most, if not all of you, have deleted me from your RSS feeds by now, if you haven't thanks for the confidence that one day I would return to post again. Hopefully over time I will win my way back into the hearts of your favorite aggregators!

Long Time No See...

It was October when I made the last post in here, and I have gotten several emails and IMs asking if I had abandoned the site or if all was OK. Well for those interested here is the deal (read on if interested) if not just rest assured that I have not turned my back on this site and I hope to begin regular posts again soon!

Pocket Slots

I put together a new Flash Lite game over the weekend, Pocket Slots. It is a basic slot machine game for mobile devices. I have developed several Flash Lite applications in the past but this was my first attempt at developing a mobile game. I am happy with the way it turned out, and now have a few more idea's for games I plan on working on in my spare time. Feel free to download Pocket Slots and let me know if you have any questions, comments, or run into any problems.
